It was a busy summer afternoon when we pulled-up in-front of the famed The Venetian in Macau’s Cotai district. Clusters of people swarmed the arrival area; trying to seek refuge from the sudden downpour. As we traversed through the crowds and made our way to the nearest entrance, all feelings of tension fizzled out, and no amount of fantasizing could prepare us for what lies beneath its massive walls; It was like stepping inside an intricately-design royal Palazzo, filled with colorful frescos and golden bas-relief sculptures that adorn its cathedral-like ceilings.
