In the humdrum of a city of 7.1 million people, it’s very ironic how one would feel alone and isolated while walking along the crowded streets of Hong Kong.
“I would love my audience to enjoy the piece visually, but to go away thinking more deeply about the idea of isolation and loneliness that is ironically prevalent in highly populated cities such as Hong Kong.
There’s also a reliability factor that I want the come through the video – all of us can understand what it’s like to feel lonely even when we’re surrounded by people. We all know what it’s like to live life in our own little bubbles, staring into our screens and walking with no awareness of the people around us.
I hope that viewers go away reevaluating their own lives.”
