Amsterdam-based artist Rosa de Jong is capturing the spotlight with her miniature dioramas.

The project, aptly named Micro Matter, recreates familiar urban and rural scenes in nano sizes, and houses them in upside-down test tubes.

de Jong’s artworks have a certain dream-like quality to them. Somehow, the spectator feels as though he or she is transported back to a childhood filled with imagination and make-believe.
